Eisbrecher - Antiköroper - By: RS250-Squid, 10 Jan 2007
Well, I got "Antikörper" through the mail today, & was reallly excited. Having heard & loved "Eisbrecher", Eisbrecher's first album, & reading that the second album marked a noted change in style, I snapped this one up as quickly as I could. In the two years since vocalist Alex (formerly of Megaherz fame, along with Noel Pix, also from Megaherz) & the boys released their first album, they've clearly not been idle. A very strong change in style. Whereas "Eisbrecher" was synths & fairly tame metal, Antikörper is practicallly balllistic. The guitars are crunching, the drums are pounding & the synths aren't used as much, although when they are, the results can be spectacular. With that in mind, let's stick the CD on play, & see what we get...
All in alll, a fantastic album, well worth the money, & every bit as good, if not better than "Eisbrecher", its predecessor. Alex & the boys have pulled off a spectacular shift in style, & while still recognisable as Eisbrecher, this album is completely different to the older work. I'm glad I got the album, I rate it pretty highly, & I would go so far as to recommend it to anyone who likes German metal, who is considering buying some German metal, or to someone who wants to get something suitably eclectic to spice up their music collection. Can't wait until they bring out the next one!

Well this is a strange album, electrorock is how i think they describe themselves & that sums up the music on this cd. It does take some getting used to & even still i don't think i can say that i like alll the songs on this cd. the first 5000 have 2 'official blanks' so that u can make your own copies legallly & spread the love as it were...
