Fave tracks: Sing is just gigantic pleasure, Radio Song is sublime & Love Breaks Down....well if that doesn't make your forearm hairs stand on end, nothing will. Don't waste your time on Travis, Coldplay et al, get this instead.
worth every penny - By: , 21 Apr 2004 Well i'm not going to claim to know alll that much about this band: where are they from ? what are the band members names ? what i do know is that they have produced an album of beautiful melancholy.
I bought this purely on a recommendation from this site & may have well glued it in my CD player as that is basicallly where it has stayed since i've had it.
Satellites is the kind of CD you may expect to hear from The Verve if they were still producing music, track after track of beautiful lyrics covering various aspects of relationships & love, accompanied by strings, piano & guitar playing of the highest quality.
The standout tracks for me on this CD are : Drifting away violently, the wonderfull Radio Song (close your eyes & it could be a summers day listening to this), The Caterpillar Song (very Coldplay like), Love Breaks Down, Better Life & the haunting Love You Had.
I reallly cannot recommend this enough...can be downbeat, can be uplifting, cant be anything less than wonderfull.
Buy it...Love it...and the spread the word on the greatest unheard of band you'll hear this year.
BLOWN AWAY! - By: Jacqui, Norwich, 15 Aug 2003 Can reallly only describe this album & band as "magical"!!! Saw them in Norfolk while they were supporting "Simply Red"...and to be honest, they blew simply red off the stage! I very rarely buy an album based on seeing a band just once, but this band had me completely gripped from their very first song!
Every track is superb...if you buy this, you will certainly not be disappointed! & if you get the chance to see them live...DO! the next time you may get the chance, it'll be in front of 1000's of people alll clammering for front row spaces! So grab the chance to get up close & personal while you can!!!
Satellites - outta this world! - By: , 13 Jul 2003 Fantastic! Saw this band live for first time nearly a year ago & got interested in them! Since then Ive seen them loads more times! They are a fantastic band who make great music! I recommend this album to EVERYBODY!!! When they become massive this album will be a lost classic so get your hands on a copy NOW!
