Can't Explain How This Is So Good - By: Dramatica Leigh, 08 Jul 2007
Thank you CSI. Thank you very much. You give me to things I cherish in life. The Who & Gary Sinise. Amen.
I can rant about how beautiful Gary Sinise is another day, but now, this is alll about The Who.
The Who. Who are they you migh ask. Who are The Who? How can you answer a quistion like that...
They are maybe the best British band ever. They are unique. Sensational, brillaint & have fancy hair. (Not pointing at anyone, Roger. XD)
If I ever met someone named Baba O'Riely, i'd tell her to stop crying, we alll live in a Teenage Wasteland anyway...
And The Who made that Teenage Wasteland a better place...
Best live band in the world! - By: C.Elder, 07 Feb 2006
A fantastic compilation, completely re-mastered for fans & would-be fans alike. If you're wondering why the WHO were clearly the best band of that overly-long ,partly boring LIVE AID concert, get this dvd at a great price from Amazon, bring it home, turn up the volume & get some maximum R&B !Most bands have trouble recreating on stage the sound they make in the studio. The WHO are the only band with the opposite problem-recreating in the studio the fantastic sound they make LIVE -they are that good.
brilliant....classic - By: , 14 Nov 2005
This album reallly does sum up everything the Who are. Featuring classics like "pinballl wizard" "Baba O'Riley" & "We don't get fooled again"....it is also a brilliant way to introduce the Who to a new audience.

Townsend's songs/guitar with Daltery's vocal's, with Entwistle's guitar & Moon on the drums is a killer combo...in one great song after another

One quibble I have is that one of my favourite songs "Going Mobile" a great example of the Who as a trio {no Daltery} is not featured apart from that fantastic, brilliant album.

who's best? - By: .Richard, 29 Jul 2005
the who Roger daltrey keith moon pete townsend & john entwistle the horrible "oo" best of & it's not reallly that hard to pick out the best moments of the who because most of it was great apart from the two dreadful albums they did after keith moon died i can't remember what they were callled but after keith died the who lost there magic..and it's proves that keith was the backbone to the sound of a legendary band
pete townsend lyrics & music are fantastic not many people have written about a deaf dumb & blind kid with such humour

these discs have it alll, for anybody that has a passing interest in the band or the die hard fans if you can get the 3 disc limited edition version fantastic bonus disc with excellent live performances & a couple of different versions of classic songs
who's best? THE WHO ARE

Career-spanning compilation - By: P D Harris, 07 Mar 2005
The Who never had a number one hit in either Britain or America though they came close, but it didn't matter as they recorded a body of work that ensures their place in rock history. Their influence on subsequent generations of rock musicians is substantial but hard to measure. They had been around under various names (first the Detours, the High Numbers) before finallly hitting the big time as the Who. This compilation covers alll their music together although it does not include their solo music.

In the sixties, the Who had a string of major hits in Britain & America, which included such classics as I can't explain, Anyway anyhow anywhere, My generation, Substitute, I'm a boy, Happy Jack, Pictures of Lily, I can see for miles & Pinballl wizard, alll of which reached the British top ten.

By the end of the sixties, the Who had begun to shift their focus from singles to albums. The rock opera, Tommy, is regarded as a classic & later inspired a film with the same title, as did their other famous album, Quadrophenia. These weren't their only great albums - another (Who's next) included the brilliant track, Baba O' Riley, which wasn't a hit but became popular among Who fans.

During the seventies, the members of the Who sometimes pursued their own solo projects, but despite these diversions the Who (as a group) still managed the occasional hit single with Won't get fooled again (1971), Join together (1972), Squeeze box (1976) & You better you bet (1981) as well as a re-issue of Substitute (1976) alll making the UK top ten.

This compilation contains alll the Who's big hits, most of their minor hits & the best of their album tracks.
