Rock goes back to its roots and finds a new future!- By: Mike Wragg, 23 Jul 2003 I saw the 'Schism' video on Kerrang the other night & was absolutely mesmerised. I had the album within 24 hours. The whole thing has just blown me away. I cannot get it off my CD player. A fan of the old school rock like Sabbath, Priest & Purple, I think this album harks back to this era but in a revived & utterly refreshing way. Even the artwork on the CD is like nothing I've seen outside of an encylopoedia before. Listen to it loud, or better still, with a good pair of headphones. You will be lost in the haunting melodic passages & your heart rate will double when the tension builds into its many crescendos. The drums & bass kick ass in the same way Bonzo & Jones did. This is an easy 5 star album.Quite a follow up to Aenima!- By: , 02 May 2001 Sheer Tool genius as always! They've utilised technology alot more on this album & the lyrics are simply amazing... again! "The Grudge" "Schism" & "Lateralus" are amazing tracks just to name a few. Buy this album as soon as you can!! Tool are so uncomprimising in their art it so refreshing listening to anything they've realeased. Tool RULE!!!
