I LOVE IT.- By: Val De Beer, 15 Jun 2005 I bought this CD from amazon recently, & I reallly love it! The music itself is so wonderful & relaxing & Frederica von Stade's singing has a beautiful legato quality which makes this music the most lovely experience to hear. I also bought Kiri te Kanawa's rendition, & I wouldn't dream of comparing the two, because Kiri te Kanawa is a soprano & Flicka von Stade is a mezzo-soprano so the two friends have a different approach to the same music, but I must say that the CDs of both of them are angelic music & glorious to listen to. It is a special experience to sit back & let this music pour over you, I'm very glad that I bought it.Simply the most beautiful sound I have heard in a long time- By: , 28 Apr 2001 Whether you're a classical music buff or a newcomer to the genre, this CD is well worth hearing. I first listened to it whilst driving in Maine, USA & I wept at its beauty. I felt as if I were melting as the velvety tones of von Strade's voice filled my car. Start with "Bailero" as a sample & you won't be disappointed! Kiri te Kanawa should take her hat off to this lady!!!
