One of my top-10 CD's - By: Bernard Smith, 16 Dec 2006
I have a couple of Simply Red's CD's & so it's kind of easy to buy this "best of". It is one of my alll-time favourites, & as a collection it can provide listening music, dance music, & quality background music alll on the same disc. Let me just name the tracks I reallly like: "Holding Back The Years", great dancing music with "Money's Too Tight to Mention", "A New Flame", "You've Got It", "If You Don't Know Me By Now", "Stars", & "For Your Babies". Come on - 7 top tracks out of 15 - this just cries out to be one of my top-10 CD's.
simply the best!!! - By: holly richardson, 20 Apr 2006
i have been a simply red fan for a long time now & i can honestly say that this is one of the best albums i have ever heard. the cd kicks off with 'holding back the years' which displays hucknalll's more sensitive side & the haunting melodies can be emotional to say the least. every track stands out on this album particularly 'its only love', 'stars', 'something got me started' & 'for your babies'. if, like me, you decide to purchase this cd then you will see hucknalll at his best as he displays his amazing vocal ranges. top cd.

Pleasure at the Fairground - By: , 23 Jul 2004
Has anyone ever wondered who Mick has pleasured at the fairground - one day I hope it will be me. Untill that day comes I will have to suffice with listening to the GENIUS that is Mick, as slick with his lyrics as he is with the ladies, his work is timeless as is his look (Where can I buy a Ruby tooth? - SLICK). There are only two other men that deserve to walk the earth with Mick, the legendary crooner David 'the Hoff' Hasslehoff (I excitedly await the duet) & the original action man Steven Seagal. Can anyone tell me if these three scholars use the same barber!!
Simply Excellent - By: V. Ryan, 17 Jun 2004
I can't say i'm a massive Simply Red fan or anything. My music taste is soul music from most eras.
But I do have the upmost respect for Mick Hucknell & his music.

This greatest hits package is a must for any music lover.
Simply Red's music is very easy to listen to, & Mr Hucknells voice is reallly smooth.

Some of the killer tracks on here are of course most of the album!
But from the poinent "Money's Too Tight to Mention" to the beautiful "Holding back the years", to tracks in & its already a master peice.
The infectious "Something Got Me Started" & "A New Flame" are two of my favourite simply red tracks.
"Stars" & "For Your Babies" are just classic tunes, & "Fairgorund" although it sounds a tad dated now, back in the 90's it was unique & total brillience.

As I said before, I can't say i'm a maissve Simply Red fan, but from a guy who loves music, it is easy to appreicate the output from Simply Red.

All their early hits on one CD - By: , 01 Feb 2004
All their earlier hits, as vibrant as they were back when ... but not their latest stuff
