Let It Be - By: Geno, 14 Jul 2008
Many people think that this is the "finale" of the Beatles career. However, they went on to make Abbey Road in the same year. I'm of a mind that I like the original LP version (with the lavish picture book etc). The songs were stripped back to basics when the "naked" version was released, but I still think that the "enhanced" versions of Let It Be, Across the Universe & The Long & Winding Road are still the best, along with the first version of Get Back. If the original release had included Don't Let Me Down, it would have been almost perfect.
UN ALBUM MUY TRISTE...PERO HERMOSO - By: C. Bellegarrigue, 16 Jun 2008
A great swan song - By: Mr. A. Willmer, 26 May 2008
Sometimes when I listen to Beatles records I wonder just how they got so good. How was it that they are able to craft perfect song after perfect song...Hey, who knows. I'm just glad they did.

Though 'Let It Be' is not their best record it is an example of solid rock & roll songwriting. Classic R & B tracks like 'One After 909' & 'Get Back' hark back to their early period & get the pulse going. Meanwhile there's still the more reflective numbers like 'Two of Us' & the sublime 'Across The Universe'. And what about the title track itself? Pure, herartfelt genius.

Now, when talking about this album it is impossible not to mention the 'Naked...' version. For me I prefer the original. I like the chatter, the feeling that this is raw & in being reording in the studio. That's why I'll always reach for this version first. however, if you prefer something a little more poilished then go for the new one.
The single most underated album in the history of the world ever!... Even though it is QUITE highly rated... - By: Frank-Lee Shankly, 25 Jan 2008
Am I actuallly listening to the same album as half of the people who've posted reviews on here? Ok I admit 'Dig a Pony' & 'Two of Us' aren't stunning but every other song is completely amazing (excluding 'Dig it' & 'Maggie Mae' cause they hardly count as proper songs). 'Across The Universe' is John's 'Mother Natures Son' & 'I Me Mine' has one of the best riffs your gonna hear from The Beatles! 'Let it Be' has the best guitar solo ever on it (you can hardly hear it on any other album with it on cause its been badly edited on albums such as Number 1's & Naked). All the other songs that I can't be bothered to mention are also alll brilliant.
If this reallly is the worst Beatles album alll it proves is how amazing they reallly were. If any other band had released this album it would have been hailed as one of the greatest of the 70's!
Let It Be As It Was In The Beggining - By: Mr. A. Craddock, 02 Jan 2008
Let It Be classed as the final offering by the fab four & just ahead of the official break up. In reality though one feels the greatest ever band had actuallly long since finished & this final fling was a collection of odds & ends from previous times. That having been said I always enjoyed this album which like one of the tracks indicated Get Back to where you once belonged. They certainly did that with some classic rock tracks. While in parts it may have been fragmented it was worth its place. The public have a choice with the original Let it be & the Let it be Naked which took away the Spectorisms. I often wondered what it may have been like if George Martin could have had another look at it but despite alll the arguments no it wasn`t the best album but still left its mark in history.
