i could write a review about how life changing this album was to me but ill leave that for anyone lucky enough to hear this absolute classic for the first time. the musical spectrum on one cd. marvellous

Warburton, 23 Oct 2008 This, the debut of the five-peice band (I'm including Rick Rubin), is destined to be one of the gems of your collection should you choose to purchase it. Best tracks include: the power of equality, breaking the girl, I could have lied, give it away, under the bridge, apache rose peacock, my lovely man & sir psycho sexy. If you enjoy the record be sure to check out "funky monks", the documentary...documenting the making of the album.
This Album Took Them From Underground To Mainstreame - By: Michael Sadler, 17 Aug 2008 The reason this album took the red hot chili peppers from underground to mainstreme is because of Rick Rubin, Anthoney Kidies described him as the person who makes the chili's complete & I agree after listing to this album.
I can't find a track I don't like ...... SUPERB could listen to this album alll day.
