Having read & heard some great reviews for this album I decided to go for a punt. Its surprisingly good if you like blue eyed soul. The only problem is it suffers in the same kind of way as the coral. All the songs are immediately excellent but just don't have the staying power to make me want to listen to it again in six months time.

This is one of Wilf's better albums, with some nice versions of some old classics, eg. The Very Thought of You & Halllelujah! I Love Her So. He sounds a lot happier on this album than his usual self too...

It's helped along by Van Morrison & Doris Troy guesting on a couple of tracks, which offers some light relief.

Overalll it's pretty listenable...!
